Carlos - Week 1
I won't repeat what the others have said. Maybe I'm supposed to, but I'd rather not have repeated information through the log.
Our next steps are to discuss some aspects of the design document and also create a base project from the last one so each person can start prototyping.
We're gonna try to prototype different aspects of the game (though maybe 2 people will do their first prototype on the same aspect). I'll be doing combat. I want a really polished, responsive, and fast combat system.
So the goals are to understand the previous combat code, modify it (if necessary), assemble the "Combat Commandments" as I call them, rules to make sure the combat feels great, is balanced, and is consistent across weapons, and figure out the moveset and controls.
For starters, I'll only be prototyping the Sword and Shield Weapon, but I'll be mindful of how its implementation will affect the future when we want more weapons.
