Carlos - Week 5


Yeah, I skipped Easter break, so we're jumping ahead a week.

I finished my prototype, which was for the combat. It was a card-based game kinda inspired by fighting games. And honestly felt a bit pointless to prototype a DMC style hack and slash combat on paper, but hey, had to deliver something.

To be honest, didn't learn much from the prototypes and what I did learn came with the caveat of "Is this an issue of abstracting the game on paper, or is it gonna be in the actual game?".

So Miguel finished the base for the project and made a tutorial on how to add attacks. And I'm in charge of the combat, so I gotta start doing that ASAP. There's a lot of stuff to do but it's exciting. Hopefully, by next Friday, I can have all the moves, and they all feel pretty snappy. May Mixamo's animations be on my side, so I can do every attack I'm planning.
