day 3 - hands on
Day 3 of the project and we started to actually work on our own project!
Today I moded one of the base projects unreal has, the 2D sidescroller one, and added a wall jump, tweaked the movement, and got the character to aim towards the mouse. Turns out dinamically changing charater's poses, for example to get the charater to always aim a weapon towards the mouse is super convinient inside Unreal! We might use the same method for most animations.
Meanwhile Catralitos started developing the first enemy AI and covered some features like level progression. He also looked into how to create levels.
On the art side ChemiTheSnail produced one more concept art, this time for the world itself:

Very happy with this day of work! We got more art, and we are breaking the ice on the new engine.
