day 7 - the one two


Hey,

Almost took the day off, but thinking about having to write a devlog with nothing in it made me push through and add something to the game!

The enemy class Catralitos is causing some issues, so while he works on that, I added a box to stand in for an enemy and prepare the knockback effect and collision handling code.

As mentioned before, the unique aspect of this game is that in order to defeat most enemies you need to stun them and then shoot em. An enemy can be stunned by being  sent flying by slide or dive kick. The player then needs to catch the enemy before he touches the ground and land a shot. If not, the enemy will regain its shield. 

It's still a bit rough, but I have the base we need to test that mechanic, even if this version of the enemy doesn't fight back. I'm still not happy with the physics of the knockback but I will fine tune that tomorrow.

Today I leave you with a new build to try this out yourselves, unfortunately the collision are not working on the build I will have to check that out tomorrow as well. You can also explore the movement. Try to get out of the level's bounds ;)
