day 9 - ready for feedback

Hi

Huge day for the project today!

Me and Catralitos had a long session of fixing any leftover bugs, tweaking and merging our work. And with that we reach our first milestone, we now have a build ready for testing of platforming and combat. It's bare bones and still needs polish in the form of particles effects and sound but all the mechanical stuff is there ready to test.

We also met with ChemiTheSnail to talk about the design, we went over the mechanics and any particular restrictions that there maybe in on the art. For example, since enemies are usually invulnerable and need to be stunned, it makes sense for them to have some sort of defense. As usual, she was super quick, coming up with a memorable and appropriate design:

It will definitely be a challenge to get fur to look good, but we'll figure it out.

I'll be updating the project main page soon with instructions on what to do in this build. I noticed that these devlogs have been getting some views (can't say I expected that, but I'm super grateful). If you try this new build please leave a comment, especially if something bothers you, you think it's not intuitive or just thought could be handled some other way, at this point we just want to hear as many opinions as we can! After all, it's easier to fix this stuff now than later down the line. After we start making levels, changes in movement will mess with already designed levels.

Thank you for reading these.
