day 11 - new horizons


Hello, 

Had some friends play test the game today, a few bugs we're fixed, but the feedback is positive. Tomorrow I'll try to get even more feedback.

While I collect feedback, I'll start focusing on enemies and hazards to use in the game.

I also had a call to queue Alan_Wakes who has been part of the team from the start but was occupied with other projects until today. He also produced his own enemy concept art:

In the evening, I went back to implementing. I don't have anything worth sharing just yet, but today I learned about a great feature within Unreal, a specialized behavior tree editor! It's hard to explain how excited I got over this feature, it's such an elegant way to do this and saves me the hassle of having to code my own behavior tree system. I just checked and unity has a version of this as well, but I've never seen it pop up in tutorials before. I'll be using this to add more enemy behavior types soon.
